While there is censorship and hard controls, journalists are embedded in combat units and file their own independent reports. Freedom versus tyranny … right?
OK, that’s not the full story. What the US and Commonwealth are doing is staging a massive PR campaign to keep their public behind the war. In only a few months this PR campaign will go global, when over 200 journalists are imbedded with the landing forces beginning on D-Day. It will forever change how wars are fought, both on the battlefield as well as in hearts and minds on the home front.
