This episode covers some lesser-known aspects of a portion of history that is to this day controversial, and the source of ethnic and geopolitical conflict. The extreme suffering of the people of the Second Polish Republic of all ethnicities in this war has been pulled apart, revisioned, and distorted for ideological reasons since the war ended, and continues to be so in 2023. It presents a challenge when covering the events — much is lost in the fog of war, revisioned, or mythologized. In different parts it is taboo, or considered false to even mention some of the evident, proven, irrefutable facts. Depending on who you ask, what book you read, or where you are from the story will look confusingly different. To dispel some of that fog, to focus not on what story serves a special interest, but focus on the facts we do know is the best way to remember the people who suffered, fought, and whose spirit prevailed through this conflict. It is them the people, not the ideologies or nations or ethnicities involved that we should learn from, and learn for. They and we are Humanity, and it is for all of us that the TimeGhost Army fights as a force to forge more understanding to build a better future based on universal human rights, freedom, democracy, and international cooperation in respect and peace.
