Fun Times With Pronunciation: “Iroquois” and “Quebec” are spoken differently depending on whether you’re using the English or french pronunciations — Iro-kwoi is English while Ira-kwa is French; and Kwe-beck is English while Kebec is French.
(And obviously New York is actually pronounced “Noo Yoak” and Boston is “Bahstan”, because duh)
