I was in a reserve infantry battalion in the late 1970s, so I was surprised at how much I recognized as being the same as or an evolution of the tactical organizations we used in those days. (As a reserve unit, we didn’t actually have the vehicles permanently on strength, but what the lads are learning today is consistent with what we were supposed to do in the unlikely event we ever got the full equipment assigned to us.)
