I used to work for a company that had offices in Tallahassee, Florida. Over several years, both on the phone and during on-site visits, I think I heard at least half of these phrases used in earnest.

I’m glad I didn’t spend my formative years in a place where any of those phrases would be considered commonplace.

I did spend my formative years in places where you could hear this stuff all day long and half the night: Oklahoma, North Carolina, Texas.
I miss it.

No offence to Brian or southrons in general; I meant only that it was bad enough going through adolescence in the ’80s—so that big hair and neon colours are imprinted on my cerebral cortex as what women are SUPPOSED to look like.
