And I’m all ‘private industry experience, built a business from zero to a fortune, two term governor, low taxes, etc. He’s pretty much what everyone says they want in a Republican president but keep not voting for.’
In the end, the GOP will nominate Rick or Mitt and he’ll loose the next election and we’ll just keep doing the same oh, same oh.
Sometimes being a fill-in-any-representative-democracy sucks, too. But as the American system effectively elects the leader of the free worldTM, the rest of us pay nearly as much attention to US politics as we do to our own domestic battles.
Of all the current Republican candidates, I like Gary Johnson and Ron Paul. Neither one of them stands a reasonable chance of being the eventual winner. Most of the other GOP candidates would be, from my point of view, worse (Santorum, of course, would be the worst).

Except for Paul and Johnson, I am less-than-thrilled at what the GOP is throwing out for me this cycle. Paul is, I think, not electable because he’s got some really odd notions.
Johnson is Ron Paul, without the kook fringe fan boys, actual experience in the executive.
I think if one were to put Johnson and Obama in an election together .. Johnson would win. But that’s just me.
And everyone is all ‘Gary Who’?
