  2. It’s the fact that he’s not trying to persuade people, he’s trying to get the state even more involved in decisions that should be made by the parents. It’s a remarkably short step from “recommending” to “mandating”, especially for government functionaries.

    Jamie Oliver might be a twat, but he’s fairly harmless by himself. Add government funding and government powers, and he can become a particularly nasty Nanny State enforcer.
