Paul Sellers’ Desktop Organiser | Episode 5
Paul Sellers
Published 13 Mar 2020Our Desktop Organiser series was originally released for free on Woodworking Masterclasses, Click here to view: https://woodworkingmasterclasses.com/…
The small details of any project should always exemplify exactness, and the smaller the project and project parts, the more exacting the work becomes. By making the drawer parts, we discover techniques craftsmen hand toolists passed down through the generations.
Paul added planted grooves to receive the drawer bottom. We use this technique when the sides of the drawers are lightweight. Paul shows the method he uses to glue up the drawer. Fitting the drawer to the opening requires more precision. Paul takes his time to explain all of the details he goes through. Lastly, Paul creates the long drawer pull from vintage mahogany salvaged from an old table leg and then fixes the pull in place.

Matt Estlea
Published 9 Mar 2020In this lesson, I show you how to size the side panels of the cabinet by hand. These techniques are applicable to all components ranging from a small project like this, to sizing an entire 8×4 sheet on an industrial panel saw. A good grasp of the importance of face sides and face edges is extremely important here!

_________________________________________________________________My name is Matt Estlea, I’m a 24 year old Woodworker from Basingstoke in England and my aim is to make your woodworking less s***.
I come from 5 years tuition at Rycotewood Furniture Centre with a further 1 year working as an Artist in Residence at the Sylva Foundation. I now teach City and Guilds Furniture Making at Rycotewood as of September 2018.
If you’re interested in studying at Rycotewood, view their courses here:
www.mattestlea.com/rycotewoodI also had 5 years of experience working at Axminster Tools and Machinery where I helped customers with purchasing tools, demonstrated in stores and events, and gained extensive knowledge about a variety of tools and brands. I discontinued this at the start of 2019 to focus solely on video creation and teaching.
During the week, I film woodworking projects, tutorials, reviews and a viewer favourite ‘Tool Duel’ where I compare two competitive manufacturers tools against one another to find out which is best. I also have a Free Online Woodworking School which you should definitely check out!

I like to have a laugh and my videos are quite fast paced BUT you will learn a lot, I assure you.
Lets go make a mess.
Shinto Rasp Review | Paul Sellers
Paul Sellers
Published 12 Dec 2019For shaping wood the Shinto Rasp is highly effective. From kayaks to guitar necks and cabriole legs to eagle wings, Paul would always have one of these on hand.
Paul made this video on the Shinto Sawrasp for you, our audience of hand tool enthusiasts, because it works so well and the cost is less prohibitive than hand-cut rasps but it works almost as well. Paul wanted to say upfront that he does not nor will he take any payment for showing this tool in this video.
