All those emergency responders sprawled lifelessly on the ground would have been a clue. From that absolute godawfully unimaginable flux of ground-zero neutrons, doncha know. Because despite \u201creporting\u201d like this:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u2026observed a neutron <strong>beam<\/strong>\u2026(snip snip)\u2026when a <strong>beam<\/strong> of neutrons\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Free neutrons don\u2019t beam, homie. (emphasis added, obviously)  Apart from neutrinos and anti-neutrinos, nothing\u2019s <em>harder<\/em> to beam than neutrons. They like to spread, not bunch. (Okay, Leopold, maybe muons and the like are worse.)<\/p>\n<p>A neutron walks into a bar and says, \u201chow much for a drink?\u201d.
