Read on:<\/p>\n<p>We have no choice. The YouTube algorithm is geared towards promoting videos that get above average clicks. They have made subscriptions much, much less relevant. If we don&#8217;t get our videos clicked, many subscribers &mdash; even those with notifications turned on &mdash; will not get our videos suggested on their YouTube pages. We have experimented with this A LOT, and while there is no system for always hitting the mark, it is titles and thumbs that provoke the visceral reaction or curiosity that works. If we don&#8217;t do this we drown in the recommendations, and get fewer and fewer views.
