Thorvald&#8217;s voyage, as related in the medieval Icelandic text <em>The Saga of the Greenlanders<\/em>, marks the first time in recorded history that Europeans came face-to-face with Native Americans. In this video, I regale you with this tale of adventure, exploration, and cultural collision.
