The ability of people to record videos of police has been a tremendous spur to calls for reform. But police are not the only people who can be filmed in public; so can protesters. I suspect that as people discover what can happen when future employers google up videos of you shouting &#8220;[expletive deleted] the police&#8221; or screaming at professors and speakers, the costs of this sort of protest will rise, and there will be less of it.
