I pretty much laughed myself (physically) sick when I read that the Sad Puppies \u201cstrictly enforced slate voting.\u201d Not only did the numbers completely deny this (the only lockstep voting was no award) but the idea of anyone on our side doing anything \u201clockstep\u201d just about\u2026  Giggle, snort.<\/p>\n<p>If you told most people on our side \u201cyou have to do it this way, it\u2019s the only way\u201d you\u2019d get \u201cWho\u2019s gonna make me, you and whose army?\u201d And if you said \u201cyou have to do it this way or we\u2019ll kill you,\u201d you\u2019re still likely to get \u201cYou\u2019re not the boss of me.\u201d We should have \u201cStupidly individualistic\u201d stamped on our foreheads.<\/p>\n<p>So long, coordinated marches like what the left (they of the collectivist will) executed are really impossible for us.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand\u2026 On the other hand, we seem to do pretty well in our long uncoordinated march of building under and building around and building over.<\/p>\n<p>We might all be marching in different directions and to the tune of a different kettle of fish, but the other side is so profoundly incompetent, that even so we can still replace the moribund institutions they took over.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s just going to take a little while. Not a hundred years, but probably twenty.
