Are they (oops! I said \u201cthey!\u201d) asking to not be spoken to at all? Because that sounds like a microaggression. <\/p>\n<p>The other eight options are \u201cE\/Ey, Em, Eir\/Eirs, Eirself\/Emse,\u201d \u201cPer, Per, Per\/Pers, Perself,\u201d \u201cZi, Hir\/Hirs Hirself,\u201d \u201cZe, Zir, Zir\/Zirs, Zirself,\u201d \u201cThey, Them, Their\/Theirs, Themse\u201d (used as a singular pronoun) and \u2014 yes \u2014 the archaic \u201cHe, Him, His, Himself\u201d or \u201cHer, She, Hers, Herself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>[&#8230;]<\/p>\n<p>There is, however, an obvious problem with this system: What about the gender-fluid students who may change genders and pronouns throughout the year, or even perhaps throughout the day?
