{"id":25177,"date":"2014-04-16T00:01:54","date_gmt":"2014-04-16T05:01:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/quotulatiousness.ca\/blog\/?p=25177"},"modified":"2014-04-15T17:16:20","modified_gmt":"2014-04-15T22:16:20","slug":"north-korean-embassy-officials-upset-over-london-hair-salon-ad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/quotulatiousness.ca\/blog\/2014\/04\/16\/north-korean-embassy-officials-upset-over-london-hair-salon-ad\/","title":{"rendered":"North Korean embassy officials upset over London hair salon ad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/uk-england-london-27038723\" target=\"_blank\"><em>BBC News<\/em><\/a> on the apparent diplomatic incident taking place at M&#038;M Hair Academy in South Ealing:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/quotulatiousness.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Kim-Jong-Un-bad-hair-day-ad.jpg\" alt=\"Kim Jong Un bad hair day ad\" width=\"304\" height=\"405\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-25178\" srcset=\"https:\/\/quotulatiousness.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Kim-Jong-Un-bad-hair-day-ad.jpg 304w, https:\/\/quotulatiousness.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Kim-Jong-Un-bad-hair-day-ad-112x150.jpg 112w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 304px) 100vw, 304px\" \/>North Korean officials paid a visit to a London hair salon to question why it had used their leader Kim Jong-un&#8217;s picture in a poster offering haircuts.<\/p>\n<p>The poster in M&#038;M Hair Academy in South Ealing featured the words &#8220;Bad Hair Day?&#8221; below the leader&#8217;s picture.<\/p>\n<p>Barber Karim Nabbach said embassy officials were shown the door and the salon&#8217;s manager spoke to the police.<\/p>\n<p>The Met Police said: &#8220;We have spoken to all parties involved and no offence has been disclosed.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The salon put up the poster on 9 April and the next day two men claiming to be officials from the North Korean embassy visited the salon and demanded to meet the manager, Mo Nabbach.<\/p>\n<p>Karim Nabbach said: &#8220;We put up posters for an offer for men&#8217;s hair cuts through the month of April.
