It\u2019s our job and we like to think we do it louder than most.<\/p>\n<p>But it\u2019s never personal.<\/p>\n<p>So, with that as background, we would like to take this space today to commend Mayor Naheed Nenshi for his amazing leadership under the most trying of circumstances.<\/p>\n<p>He has been a beacon of strength, support and optimism as Calgary battles the affects of the single-biggest disaster to hit our city.<\/p>\n<p>The mayor, as always, has been a great communicator.<\/p>\n<p>Through social media, traditional media and constant briefings, Nenshi has made it his personal undertaking to deliver the most up-to-date information to all Calgarians through all mediums.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Calgary Sun gets all gushy and enthusiastic over the mayor they usually like to beat up: No one goes after the mayor of this city harder than we do.
