Why? Because of personal greed and ambition. Capitalism without regulation can\u2019t protect us against personal greed&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Making certain that many people reading the interview will resolutely avoid seeing the film, Carrey describes the protagonist as follows:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cScrooge is the ultimate example of self-loathing,\u201d Carrey says, noting that, after playing the title character in Ron Howard\u2019s \u201cHow the Grinch Stole Christmas,\u201d he was merely \u201cgoing to the source\u201d in fleshing out Scrooge. \u201cBeware the unloved, I always say,\u201d Carrey continues. \u201cThey\u2019re the ones that end up being the mean guys. It comes from that deep, spiritual acid reflux within them.
