I should have remembered that <em>being careful isn&#8217;t always enough<\/em>. There&#8217;s a new build of WordPress available, and I thought I should update to it.<\/p>\n<p>But first, I cleverly backed up my files . . . I&#8217;ve been burned in the past by updates that stomp over things you wanted to keep.<\/p>\n<p>Download and installed the update. Cool. Installed cleanly: great.<\/p>\n<p>Except that it wiped out my style.css file. No biggie . . . I&#8217;ve got a fresh backup, so I can just . . . oh. Crap. The backup is incomplete and doesn&#8217;t include style.css.<\/p>\n<p>Back to the drawing board. Tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll probably just do more damage if I try to reconstruct it tonight.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Y&#8217;know . . .
