In that strange Eastern land, \u2018notorious for its extremist yobs\u2019, stupid racial thinking is \u2018socially endemic\u2019, we are told, which isn\u2019t surprising considering that, in the words of one British academic, Ukraine lacks the \u2018cosmopolitan atmospheres\u2019 of Western Europe.
