This blog is a random collection of information, partly in support of my quotations web site. Other topics include economics, history, libertarianism, military news, wine, and other random things which happen to strike my fancy. Backup site is at http://quotulatiousness.blogspot.com/ (I’ll post updates there if there’s a problem on the main blog).
This is the second home for the blog, having started in early May, 2004 at http://www.bolditalic.com/quotulatiousness/, courtesy of my virtual landlord, Jon P. Jon originally started a blog, Blogulaciousness, to which this blog’s name was a backhanded tribute. Unfortunately, Jon decided to quit blogging after a few months, leaving me with a name that didn’t make as much sense as I’d hoped it would. The 2004-2009 archives are still hosted there, but comments have been turned off, as the spam was getting too much to handle. (Also, the search tool appears to be broken on the old site: you can still access the monthly posts using the pull-down control at the bottom of the left column.) I switched from the old MovableType installation at Jon’s site to my own WordPress site in July 2009 (the first week or so had items cross-posted at both sites).
If you’re so bored that you want to follow me on Twitter, you can click here. With Twitter becoming less welcoming to those of us with anything other than left-leaning thoughts, I’ve also set up an account on Gab.ai, which you can see here.
