BBC News reports that a couple of Edinburgh pub-goers chose a particularly unsuitable place to go have sex after meeting in the pub:

An amorous couple have been fined for having sex in broad daylight — in a police station car park.

Leanne Richardson, 26, and Ross Welsh, 30, had to be physically stopped mid sex act by officers from Portobello police station in Edinburgh.

They both pleaded guilty to committing a breach of the peace in the car park on 21 April and were fined £200.

  1. It gets a bit more bizarre according to this report, identifying Richardson as a lesbian:

Last night, Richardson revealed she was in a longterm relationship with girlfriend Josephine Samuel, 49.
She said she gave up on men after her previous partner – who she wouldn’t name – died and she met Josephine last year.
The pair now share a flat in Leith and Josephine insisted she has already forgiven her lover for her indiscretion.
Leanne said: “It is no secret I am gay. After my ex-partner died I said I would never be with another guy again, then I met Josephine.
“Josephine is my partner, she is a pretty woman and I would never do anything to hurt her.”
Josephine said: “It doesn’t matter what has happened, we will sort things out – I have forgiven her.”
